In this hands-on session you’ll brew a small bottle of traditional oak-gall ink, prepare cotton with natural tannins, and develop rich charcoal tones by painting and printing with iron.

What the workshop covers:

  • The tannin/iron reaction.

  • How to craft Oak Gall black ink

  • Tannin and iron on fabric

  • Developing print paste and makeshift screen prints

  • Care, safety, and waste neutralizing
