Our oak gall and walnut ink kits are a true homage to this land. Crafted from botanicals hand-foraged in the Malibu hills and processed in our studio using traditional recipes, these are ultra-local inks.
The oak gall ink produces a rich, deep black. The walnut ink offers a softer, transparent brown with beautiful tonal variation. Perfect for brushwork, calligraphy, or collectors of natural color.
Each kit includes 2 × 25ml ink bottles, two bamboo stylus pens with thick and fine nibs and is packaged in a Kraft gift box. Small-batch and seasonal, each set reflects the rhythms of the landscape from which it was gathered.
Ingredients:
Oak Gall 25ml - Malibu Oak Gall, Copperas, Gum Arabic, Clove Oil for preservative.
This ink is not suitable for metal nib fountain pens due to the addition of copperas(iron) which may stain or rust nibs
Walnut 25ml - Malibu Black Walnut hulls, Gum Arabic, Clove oil for preservative.
